CEREC Crowns In One Day

If you find yourself with a damaged tooth, or one aching due to advanced decay or infection, then you may need a custom-made dental crown. Fortunately, your Redmond, CA, dentist can create and place one in a single visit, so you can return your normal routine and enjoy better oral health as well.

Emergency Situations

Right now, we’re closed for routine treatments like checkups and cleanings, or cosmetic treatments like teeth whitening or porcelain veneer placement. We’re doing this to help slow the spread of COVID-19, protecting the most vulnerable in our community in the process. However, we’re still available to address dental emergencies, such as chipped or cracked teeth, or pain in your teeth due to cavities or infection. Know that we follow strict cleaning and disinfecting protocols, cleaning surfaces in between each patient’s visit, to help protect the health and safety of patients and team members!

Creating Your Same-Day Crown

If you have a damaged tooth, or if you experience serious discomfort due to a toothache, then let us know. If your tooth needs treatment, we can place a crown, which covers the visible portions of your smile. The restoration helps protect the tooth from further decay or infection, and we also take steps to ensure they look natural and blend with your smile. In the past, creating one and placing it took between two and three visits. Now, we can use CEREC CAD/CAM technology to design, create, and place one in a single visit. We start by removing structure from the tooth and then taking detailed digital impressions and measurements. We use the information to create a 3D model of your tooth and design your restoration. We then upload the information in to the CEREC milling machine, which crafts them from ceramic.

Placement

The ceramic we use can be shaded to match the color of surrounding teeth, and is translucent like tooth enamel. When the restoration is complete, we will check the fit and make any necessary adjustments to ensure a comfortable fit and a lifelike appearance. We then attach it using a powerful bonding agent. When you leave, you leave with a restored and lifelike tooth. If you have any questions about a potential dental emergency situation, or if you think you need to see us for a cavity or infection, then contact our team today. We want to make sure you stay healthy and safe.
